Hybrid Cloud & the question of Data Sovereignty.

A single-day program built for Caribbean enterprise leadership. The morning sets the boardroom case for sovereign hybrid-cloud architecture. The afternoon puts that architecture into your hands — clusters, containers, GPUs, and a single pane of glass across on-premises and public cloud.

From the boardroom to the cluster.

Sovereignty discussions usually stop at slide decks. This workshop deliberately doesn't. Decision-makers leave with the strategic argument and the architectural pattern that makes it real — on equipment they can actually point to.

Part One · Executive Briefing

Hybrid Cloud & Data Sovereignty

7:30 AM
– 12:00 PM
Morning Session

Strategic Frame

A facilitated executive briefing for board-level and C-suite decision-makers. The session translates the Caribbean and Jamaican data-sovereignty conversation into language a CFO, CEO, and CRO can act on — and connects it directly to the LVW Data Curation Framework that anchors the MYLVW Roundtable.

Built around the question every regulated-sector board now faces: where is our data, who controls it, and what does it cost us if we cannot answer either question?

Designed For

Senior executives in banking, insurance, healthcare, academia, government, and major commercial enterprises across Jamaica and the Caribbean. IT managers with budget authority are encouraged to attend with their executive sponsor.

Afternoon Session

Hands-On Implementation

A working lab demonstrating a sovereign-friendly AI platform end to end. Participants observe — and where possible operate — a live OpenShift AI cluster running the AI Stack with vLLM for model serving, deployed on IBM hyperconverged infrastructure with GPU acceleration, software-defined storage, and federated identity.

The session covers cluster provisioning, container and VM workloads, Ansible-driven orchestration, and a single-pane-of-glass administration view across on-premises and public cloud regions.

Designed For

IT managers, platform engineers, infrastructure architects, security leads, and data engineering managers responsible for designing or operating regulated-data workloads. Sponsors from Part One who want to see the architecture they just approved are welcome to attend.

Learning Outcomes

What you take home.

01 · DEPLOYMENT

Provision OpenShift Clusters

Participants will observe and operate the provisioning of OpenShift clusters on hyperconverged infrastructure, including network, storage, and GPU configuration tailored for sovereign workloads.

02 · WORKLOADS

Containers & VMs in Concert

Build and run containerised workloads, create VMs inside containers, and design hybrid workload patterns that reflect real regulated-sector environments.

03 · ORCHESTRATION

Ansible-driven Management

Use Ansible to manage and orchestrate containers, clusters, and policy enforcement at scale across two working clusters and multiple environments.

04 · AI STACK

OpenShift AI with vLLM

Stand up the OpenShift AI Stack with vLLM model serving, integrate vector databases (PostgreSQL pgvector, MongoDB) and walk through a RAG reference pipeline.

05 · HYBRID OPS

Single Pane of Glass

Administer on-premises and public cloud estates from a unified control plane — the operational expression of sovereign hybrid-cloud architecture.

06 · GOVERNANCE

Sovereignty as Configuration
